Hey guys!

I’ve been MIA again. I’ve been under a surmount of stress. And unfortunately fell off with my eating habits and workouts. And I gained the weight back :-/

My dad has been sick and has had extensive surgery on his spine and may need more :(

I have doubled my course load in school and have been working crazy OT hours.

but on the bright side, I met a really cool dude. And I am really happy.

But enough with the sob story and excuses, I am back and I need to regain focus. I will be pouring my heart and soul into this!

2. EGGS!!

In one study, dieters who ate eggs for breakfast felt full for longer and lost more than twice as much weight as those who got the same amount of calories from a bagel for breakfast. Think beyond breakfast, too: eggs boost a salad’s staying power and make for a satisfying snack

3. APPLES!!

For a mere 95 calories, a medium apple contains 4 grams of fiber. And recent research, published in theJournal of Nutrition, suggests that boosting your fiber intake may help you to prevent weight gain—or even encourage weight loss.

4. LOW CALORIE DESSERTS

OK, so this isn’t exactly a “health food,” but we welcome the news that it may be easier to stick to your diet if it includes a little sweet treat. According to a new study in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, banning sugary foods could lead to overeating. One reason may be that removing access to sweet foods stimulates the release of a molecule in your brain called corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF), produced when you’re afraid, anxious or stressed, says Pietro Cottone, Ph.D., lead study author. And increased stress levels may lower your motivation to eat more nutritious foods, making it more likely that you’ll binge on junk food.

5.SOUP!!

Research published in the journal Appetite has shown that people who start a meal with vegetable soup eat 20 percent fewer calories over the course of their meal.

6. OATMEAL!!

Eating a breakfast made with “slow-release” carbohydrates, such as oatmeal or bran cereal, three hours before you exercise may help you burn more fat, suggests a recent study in the Journal of Nutrition. Here’s why: in the study, eating “slow-release” carbohydrates didn’t spike blood sugar as high as eating refined carbohydrates, such as white toast. In turn, insulin levels didn’t spike as high and because insulin plays a role in signaling your body to store fat, having lower levels may help you burn fat. Want options beyond oatmeal?

7. HOT CHILE PEPPERS!!

In one study, consuming a little hot pepper (in tomato juice or in capsules) 30 minutes before a meal helped study participants feel less hungry and eat about 10 percent less.

8. ALMONDS!!

Chew more to curb hunger. That’s what researchers concluded in a recent study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in which they asked participants to chew a 2-ounce serving of almonds 10, 25 or 40 times. Participants got maximum satisfaction—they felt fuller longer—from the nuts when they chewed 40 times. Chewing more may cause a greater release of fat from the almonds, which triggers hormones that curb hunger, speculates Rick Mattes, Ph.D., R.D., professor of foods and nutrition at Purdue University, study author and an EatingWell advisor.

For being MIA.. (if ya noticed, lol) just been trying to cope with life.. But I’m back! Soooo, at the end of Oblivious October I lost 5lbs! Not as much as I hoped, but still an accomplishment :) and the jeans are a lil looser..

FRUSTRATED DOODLE ABOUT BRA SHOPPING

I swear, I’m going to make a line of bras that range from DD and up that are actually cute.

oh please do. my bras are so disgusting. I can only get them in a special shop. and they come up far too high. apparently girls with a naturally large rack don’t deserve pretty lingerie :(

I wear a 38D, and I have really cute bras :]

This makes an excellent point about one of the many double standards in our society. Women constantly have the notion shoved in their faces that they should have enormous breasts. Yet women who have the largest breasts have the hardest time finding anything flattering to wear for them, be it tops, dresses, or bras. As for me, I have Ds. I find that the cuter the bra is, the less support it gives me. The most adorable bras seem to be made for women with tiny titties. That’s fine if that’s what you got, but it makes it a bitch for us bigger chicks to find anything. And even if I do find a style of bra that fits and gives the right support, the cool colors or pretty patterns always seem to stop in the Cs. All that’s ever left in my size is nude or black. Maybe I want the pretty blue lace bra, too!!

Story of my life… smh. Its worse when your significant others asks why you don’t wear the cute bras…

Poll: 90% of Americans Think They Eat Healthy!

Are people in America fooling themselves or is all the health data pumped out by the government a pile of lies?

According to a recent Consumer Reports survey, 9 out of 10 Americans said that they eat a healthy diet with the recommended servings of fruit and vegetables!

Well maybe if potato chips, fries, and sugary fruit drinks count as fruit and vegetables. The survey also showed that only 11% of Americans thought of themselves as overweight, when government statistics show that 68% of Americans are classified as obese.

So how do we explain such a vast discrepancy between reported reality and people’s perceptions?

* I think people are delusional. They think that if they tell people that they eat healthy and that they exercise; but in reality, you’re “sneaking” an extra slice of pizza or skipping a few days at the gym. What you say has nothing to do with actually get healthy. No matter what you log or say, you’re body keeps an accurate account of what you ate and didn’t eat and of what you did or didn’t do..

Cheating only affects you. You’re only cheatin yourself…
